Big Buck Bunny (code-named Peach) is a short animated film by the Blender Institute, part of the Blender Foundation.

Like the foundation's previous film Elephants Dream, the film is made using free software, licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 license. Work began in October, 2007 and the film was released in an April 10th, 2008 premiere in Amsterdam.(via Wikipedia) A day of the life of Big Buck Bunny when he meets three bullying rodents, Frank, Rinky and Gamera. The rodents amuse themselves by harassing helpless creatures of the forest by throwing fruits, nuts and rocks at them. After the deaths of two of Bunny's favorite butterflies, and an offensive attack on Bunny himself, Bunny sets aside his gentle nature and orchestrates a complex plan for revenge. Synopsis: Big Buck Bunny tells the story of a giant rabbit with a heart bigger than himself. When one sunny day three rodents rudely harass him, something snap and the rabbit ain't no bunny anymore! In the typical cartoon tradition he prepares the nasty rodents a comical revenge.
